Looking for a green juice that doesn’t taste like pond water? I think I may have found the solution with my clean greens juice!
I’m big into greens and whilst I do try to eat them as much as I can, I only really enjoy them if they’re swimming in a sea of good quality extra virgin olive oil or stir fired with lashings of coconut oil. Who’s with me here? Neat on their own, greens don’t really cut the mustard and lets be honest you’d have to eat platefuls to get same the same nutritional benefit of just one juice.
So today I thought i’d share my all time favourite clean greens juice. It’s made purely from vegetables so suitable for those of you watching your sugar intake be that refined or fructose from fruit. All those on the I Quit Sugar programmes, this one’s suitable for you too. It’s also Paleo, Keto, Autoimmune Paleo and whole30 friendly.
I promise, it’s delicious and packs a serious nutritional punch. It’s fantastic for skin and hair… if you drink it of course, not too sure it’d make the best face or hair mask!
Part 1 – For the juicer
- 3 celery sticks
- 3 large carrots (475g)
- 3/4 of a large cucumber
- 2cm chunk of fresh ginger (27g, peeled)
- 3/4 lemon (peeled)
- 1 small floret of broccoli (25g) or 1 tablespoon of broccoli sprouts
Part 2 – For the Vitamix
- Handful of spinach (35g)
- Handful of kale (25g, stalks removed)
- 3 sprigs of fresh mint (leaves only, 20 leaves)
- 6 ice cubes
Juice all the ingredients listed in part 1.
Add the juice to your Vitamix or high speed food processor along with all the ingredients in Part 2.
Blitz… you’ll have skin that glows in no time!
